Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam has announced elaborate arrangements for the annual ‘Ashada Maasam’ festivities, which will be observed from July 15 to August 12 atop Indrakeeladri.
As part of the celebrations, devotees, religious organisations and temple committees from different places will offer the traditional ‘Ashada Saare’ (ceremonial offering of sarees and other auspicious items) to Goddess Kanaka Durga. Temple authorities have introduced a registration system to streamline the offerings and manage the flow of devotees.
Those intending to offer the Ashada Saare must register at the temple counters and obtain an authorisation slip. Registered devotees will be permitted to reach the temple only through the designated route from Kanaka Durga Nagar via Maha Mandapam.
