Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada gears up for Dasara festivities from October 11

Vijayawada is preparing for the Dasara Sarannavaratri Utsavams at the Kanaka Durga temple with extensive security and logistical arrangements. Over 3,000 police personnel and various government departments are coordinating to manage crowds and ensure smooth festivities.

More than 3,000 police personnel have been deployed for bandobust during the Dasara Sarannavaratri Utsavams at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam and at strategic locations in Vijayawada to ensure the smooth conduct of the festivities.
Goddess Durga Devi will give darshan to devotees in the Sri Bala Tripura Sundari Devi alankaram on the first day of the festivities on October 11 (Sunday), the temple authorities said.

The Endowments, Police, Revenue, AP Transco, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), Fire Services, Indian Railways, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Irrigation and other departments have made elaborate arrangements for the festivities.
Eighteen prasadam distribution counters, nitya annadanam, more than 50 drinking water points, 40 parking areas, medical camps, information centres and police pickets have been arranged for the convenience of devotees.
