Kalyana Karnataka development a priority, says Tangadagi

The government has taken several measures to move Kalyana Karnataka beyond its tag as a backward region and put it on the path of development, said Koppal district in-charge Minister Shivaraj S. Tangadagi.

Unfurling the national flag at the 79th Kalyana Karnataka Utsav celebrations at the District Stadium in Koppal on Thursday, Mr. Tangadagi said the government was giving priority to the development of the region, including infrastructure, employment, and welfare.

He said the recruitment process for 72,000 vacant government posts, including those reserved under Article 371(J), had begun. The government was also implementing the Kalyana Patha programme to develop 1,150 km of roads in Kalyana Karnataka and was planning the Yuva Udyoga Sethu scheme to create more employment opportunities in the private sector.
