Households in Apapai subcounty, Kalaki district, have been urged to conserve food supplies and adopt drought-resilient farming practices as prolonged dry conditions continue to affect crop production.
The call was made by Apapai LC3 chairperson John Alachu, who said many gardens were drying up, and declining harvests could increase the risk of food shortages if families failed to plan carefully. Alachu encouraged farmers to properly store harvested food, reduce unnecessary sale of food crops and embrace farming practices that can withstand changing weather conditions.
