‘Kala Hiran’ yet to get CBFC clearance, producer tells Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court on Thursday (September 10, 2026) recorded a statement by the producer of ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’ that the film, purportedly based on actor Salman Khan, is not ready for release as it is yet to obtain certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Justice Jyoti Singh, hearing Mr. Khan’s plea seeking to restrain the release of the film, directed producer Amit Jani to file his response within two weeks. The matter will be heard next on September 30.
The Court also directed Mr. Jani’s counsel to inform it on September 14 about the proposed release date, making it clear that the film should not be released until then.
