Kadiri gears up for Ganesh immersion
Sri Sathya Sai district Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar inspected the security arrangements at Kadiri town on Saturday, ahead of the Ganesh immersion scheduled on Sunday (September 20).
The SP inspected the immersion zone on the Kadiri-Madanapalle road, procession routes, sensitive areas and immersion points. He directed the officials to ensure tight bandobust, traffic regulation and continuous CCTV surveillance.
After the inspection, the SP visited the local mosque and offered prayers. He held a meeting with religious elders and appealed for their cooperation to ensure that the immersion is conducted peacefully and in a friendly atmosphere. He also directed the officials to take advance measures to prevent any untoward incidents during the procession and ordered traffic control to avoid disruption.
