The Kadapa police officially launched the integrated surveillance system to strengthen public safety by installing 44 CCTVs at strategic locations in Vempalli on Tuesday (August 18, 2026).
Apart from the cameras, Advanced Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras have also been installed for effective crime prevention, traffic monitoring, and enhanced safety, particularly for women.
Vempalli is a crucial spot that provides entry/exit from Kadapa towards Tirupati, Annamayya, and Sri Sathya Sai districts, and as such, the command and control room established at Vempalli police station will facilitate 24x7 monitoring of the surveillance network and suspicious activities.
