The Andhra Pradesh government has revoked the suspension of IPS officers Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni . Orders to this effect were issued on Thursday (September 3, 2026).

The State government had issued orders suspending five police officers, including then Director General of Police (Intelligence) P. Sitharama Anjaneyulu, now retired, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanthi Rana Tata, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gunni , West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police K. Hanumantha Rao and Ibrahimpatnam Circle Inspector M. Satyanarayana, in the Kadambari Jethwani case.

Action had been initiated against the officers on the basis of a report by the NTR Commissionerate police on the alleged high-handedness and the failure to follow standard investigation procedure in a land deal case, the State government said then.
