K. Venkateswarulu elected president of Visakhapatnam Public Library Society

Dr. K. Venkateswarulu, a neurophysician and Governing Body member of the Visakhapatnam Public Library Society (VPLS), was unanimously elected president of the society on Monday. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Governing Body, which also paid tributes to former president S. Vijay Kumar, who passed away on June 23. Members observed a two-minute silence and recalled his contribution to modernising the library’s infrastructure and strengthening its role as a centre for learning and research. The meeting was presided over by founding member K.C. Reddy and attended by office-bearers and Governing Body members.
