K.M. Basheer case: witness identifies victim’s bike parts and helmet in court
A witness in the hit-and-run trial of IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman identified the victim's motorcycle parts and helmet in court. The witness, an auto-rickshaw driver, clarified that he arrived at the scene after the accident occurred.

A witness in the hit-and-run case, relating to the death of journalist K.M. Basheer, identified parts of the motorcycle the victim was riding at the time of the incident, along with his helmet during the trial on Tuesday. Sajir, an auto-rickshaw driver, who is also the 12th witness in the case, also identified the number plate produced before the court. The Vilappilsala native is also a mahazar witness in the case. He, however, testified that he could not say with certainty which vehicle the identified number plate belonged to.
