Justin Kodua Frimpong re-elected General Secretary of NPP

Justin Kodua Frimpong has been re-elected as General Secretary of Ghana's New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a significant majority. Additionally, John Boadu was elected as the party's National Chairman to lead the NPP into the 2028 general election.

Justin Kodua Frimpong has been re-elected General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He won with a massive 4486 votes, the highest votes gathered by any of the contestants in the 2026 national executive elections of the NPP.
The votes signify a massive endorsement by the party for hia second term as his closest contender Sylvester Tetteh got 1340 votes.
Eugene Boakye Antwi, the immediate past Member of Parliament for Subin in Kumasi who had switched interests from Parliament to the chief executive position of the party came up with only 162 votes followed by Dr Charles Dwamena's 129 votes.
At the national chairman level, John Boadu has been elected to lead the party to the 2028 general election .
Boadu won with 48.5 percent of the votes cast at the congress held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
