Former Karnataka High Court judge H.N. Nagamohan Das released his new books, 'Memorable Trials, Unforgettable Cases,' in Shivamogga. The event emphasized the importance of constitutional literacy and human values in education.
Why it matters
The promotion of constitutional awareness is a significant cultural and educational effort in India, aimed at fostering civic engagement among youth.
Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa released the Kannada and English editions of Memorable Trials, Unforgettable Cases , written by former Karnataka High Court judge H.N. Nagamohan Das, at a programme in Shivamogga on Monday (August 31).
The Minister appreciated Mr. Das’s efforts to spread awareness of the Indian Constitution through his books after retirement, and recalled his active participation in the ‘Samvidhana Odu’ (Read the Constitution) campaign.
Mr. Das said the Indian Constitution was an embodiment of all human values and should serve as a guiding light for everyone. Children, he said, should be made to understand its significance at the school level itself.
