Accra, Nov. 2, GNA – Some courts in the Greater Accra Region remained closed on Monday following the commencement of an indefinite strike by the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG).
At the Law Court Complex, all gates to about 42 High Courts were closed, with red pieces of cloth tied to them.
The court compound was deserted, with only security personnel stationed at the various gates.
Some litigants were seen seeking information from the security personnel.
Mr Gideon Larbi, a client, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that he had a civil case before one of the High Courts but was unable to enter the premises because of the strike.
