JSW Foundation on Thursday released the 2026-27 Village Visit Calendar for its Mobile Health Units (MHUs) at a programme held at the Taluk General Hospital in Sandur, Ballari district, aimed at strengthening access to primary healthcare in rural areas.
The initiative is implemented by Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation in collaboration with JSW Foundation to provide primary healthcare services to underserved communities in villages covered under the CSR intervention area.
MLA for Sandur E. Annapoorna and other dignitaries were present at the programme. Ms. Annapoorna flagged off the MHUs.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Annapoorna appreciated the contribution of the MHUs in taking healthcare services to the doorsteps of rural residents. She said the initiative was helping people access essential medical services in their own villages while reducing the patient load at the hospital and enabling hospital staff to focus on providing quality treatment.
