Music fans are rushing to stream Dolly Parton's extensive catalog following the announcement of her death earlier this week, according to data on Spotify Charts. The Get the Facts Data team examined Spotify Chart data of daily top songs in the U.S. in the days after news of Dolly Parton's death was announced on Aug. 25 and found an increase in streams of her greatest hits such as "Jolene," "9 to 5" and "Islands in the Stream". "Jolene" was the second most played track across the U.S. on Aug. 25 with 1.29 million streams. This was followed by "9 to 5," which was number 3 that same day with 1.13 million streams. Dolly Parton's music dominated the list of most streamed songs in the U.S. on Aug. 26. "Jolene" later rose to the top spot on Spotify on Aug. 26 with 2.03 million streams.
