POLICE have arrested John Travolta, a 34-year-old Harare man and namesake of famous American actor, in connection with an armed robbery at Warren Park D Shopping Centre in Zimbabwe’s capital.
During the robbery, cash amounting to US$3,813 and ZiG1,200 was stolen.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest of Travolta, who is accused of committing the robbery with an accomplice who remains at large.
The robbery occurred Saturday, August 8, at around 7pm when the two suspects allegedly stormed a shop armed with a pistol and wearing balaclavas.
