Joao Pedro wins first ever EA SPORTS Player of the Month award

Chelsea striker claims the prize after scoring twice and assisting twice in August

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for August.

It is the first time the 24-year-old has won the award and he is the first Chelsea player to do so since Cole Palmer in September 2024.

Joao Pedro becomes the seventh Brazilian winner after Juninho , Edu , David Luiz , Lucas Moura , Rodrigo Muniz and Igor Thiago .

The former Brighton & Hove Albion forward topped the vote after scoring two goals and providing two assists as Chelsea won their first two matches of the new campaign.
