JNTU-GV tells 37 affiliated engineering colleges to prioritise AI education
JNTU-GV University in India has directed its 37 affiliated engineering colleges to prioritize artificial intelligence in their curricula. The initiative aims to prepare students for the evolving job market by integrating AI tools and practical knowledge into all engineering branches.

JNTU-GV Vice Chancellor V.V. Subba Rao on Thursday asked all 37 affiliated colleges in the six districts of North Andhra region to focus on artificial intelligence (AI), as it is playing a vital role across all engineering branches.
He said that the University had been updating the syllabus and making all institutions follow the new guidelines to prepared students to understand emerging technologies.
Along with Avanthi group chairman Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, he attended the Fresher’s Day celebrations at Avanthi Engineering College of Cherukupalli, Vizianagaram district, as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that AI would have an impact on human lives in the next few years and updating of AI academic and practical knowledge is necessary for the students.
