JNTU-GV students can now get certificates online in days, without ₹3,000 tatkal fee

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Gurajada (JNTU-GV) has launched a new online portal to streamline the issuance of academic certificates for its 90,000 students. The initiative eliminates the need for offline applications and removes the ₹3,000 tatkal fee, allowing students to receive documents within days.
Why it matters
This digital transformation significantly reduces administrative hurdles and financial burdens for students while increasing transparency in university governance.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV) Vice-Chancellor V.V. Subba Rao on Thursday (October 8, 2026) said the university had introduced student-centric governance so that students could get all services without hassle. He said students no longer needed to pay a ₹3,000 tatkal fee to quickly obtain their original degrees and other certificates from the university.
The new online system would help them get certificates in a couple of days, and there was no need for them to visit the university and submit applications offline, he said. The statutory fees for each service can be paid online.
