JNTU Anantapur College of Engineering (JNTUACEA) celebrated its 80 years of service on Saturday with the release of a commemorative postal stamp at the NTR Auditorium on campus.
Former DRDO Chairman and alumnus of the college, G. Satheesh Reddy, and Vice-Chancellor H. Sudarsana Rao inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and unveiled the postal stamp dedicated to JNTUACEA.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satheesh Reddy said that the release of the postal stamp was made possible through the voluntary and generous contributions of the college’s alumni and various stakeholders. The college has played a pivotal role in enabling many individuals to attain prestigious positions, he said, and affirmed his commitment to extending continuous support and contributing to the future development of JNTU Anantapur. He stated that they would provide support, particularly for research projects and the organisation of conferences.
