The Department of Orthopaedics of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on ‘Orthopaedic Infection Management’ here recently.

The programme brought together orthopaedic specialists, faculty members, residents, and delegates for an intensive academic exchange on recent advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of orthopaedic infections.

According to a press note, the CME featured expert-led scientific sessions and case-based panel discussions covering the foundations of musculoskeletal infections, paediatric bone and joint infections, post-traumatic and surgical infections, spinal infections, including tuberculosis, periprosthetic joint infections, diabetic foot infections, atypical and fungal infections, and complex limb salvage strategies.
