Reliance Jio has launched JioPC as a standalone cloud-based computing service that allows users to upgrade the capabilities of their existing computers without buying new hardware. The service offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage through the cloud, with plans starting at Rs 1,000. For those unaware, JioPC was previously available to JioHome broadband subscribers. It is now available to anyone with an internet connection, regardless of their telecom or broadband provider.The service is aimed at users whose computers have become slow, have limited storage or are running older operating systems. Jio says even computers that are several years old can use JioPC to access the computing power needed for modern applications, including AI-powered software.JioPC plans start at Rs 1,000JioPC is available in two configurations.
