Jharkhand Ex-CM Champai urges High Court to take suo motu cognisance of JPSC, JSSC ‘irregularities’

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Champai Soren on Sunday (July 26, 2026) urged the High Court to take suo motu cognisance of alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations and order a CBI probe into all recruitment processes conducted by the two panels over the last few years.
The former Chief Minister, in a social media post, said that those "toying with the future of the youths" should not receive government protection but instead get harsh punishment.
"The Jharkhand High Court should take suo motu cognisance of this matter and order a CBI [Central Bureau of Investigation] probe into every single recruitment process conducted by JSSC and JPSC over the last few years," he said.
Attacking the JMM-led dispensation, Mr. Soren alleged that government jobs were being "auctioned off" through blacklisted agencies under the patronage of those in power.
