Jharkhand BJP seeks CBI probe into exam irregularities

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation on Wednesday (September 2, 2026) met Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar at Project Bhavan in Ranchi and submitted a memorandum demanding a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in several examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
The delegation, led by Jharkhand BJP State President Aditya Sahu and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, also demanded the immediate withdrawal of cases filed against students across the State in connection with protests over the alleged irregularities. The BJP issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the State government, warning it would launch protests alongside students if the cases are not withdrawn.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Mr. Sahu said the BJP would “hit the streets” in support of students if justice is not delivered within 48 hours.
