The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) says it is closely monitoring Jet A-1 fuel supply challenges affecting the aviation sector at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
NAC spokesperson Dan Kamati on Wednesday said they are working with fuel suppliers, government authorities, airlines and other aviation stakeholders to manage the situation and minimise disruptions to airport operations.
“Airport operations are continuing, while contingency measures are being considered where necessary,” he says.
Passengers have been urged to remain in contact with their respective airlines for possible schedule changes as the situation develops.
NAC says it will continue to provide updates and is working with stakeholders to safeguard the continuity of Namibia’s aviation sector.
