Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is explaining why he stepped back into the top job years after retiring from Amazon. According to a report by CNBC, after seven months Bezos revealed he would return to an operational role to launch his new AU startup Prometheus. Speaking on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, the 62-year-old billionaire said being co-CEO again is “Type 2 fun” — the kind of challenge that feels rewarding only after you’ve climbed the mountain.
