The Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 in a 12-inning game. Despite a late-game rally to tie the score in the eighth inning, the Blue Jays were unable to secure a win in extra innings.

Until the top of the eighth, it looked like we weren’t going to put up a fight.
With two outs in the eighth, Alejandro Kirk singled. Then, after fouling a pitch off his knee and spending a few minutes fighting off the pain of that, Kazuma Okamoto singled. Then Ernie Clement doubled in one. And Andrés Giménez singled home two more, tying the game.
Before that, we got a run in the fourth. With one out, Vladimir Guerrero doubled. A wild pitch moved him to third (a closer play at third than I would have liked) and Alejandro Kirk singled him home/
