Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner K.N. Ramesh has directed officials to issue a notice and impose the maximum penalty on Rewards agency, which supplies food to the Indira Canteen at Jayanagar Public Hospital, for repeatedly violating the prescribed menu.
During a surprise inspection of the canteen at Pattabhiramanagar ward on Saturday, Mr. Ramesh found that the agency had supplied only bisi bele bath instead of rice, sambar, palya and payasa that was on the menu for the day.
Officials said the menu had not been followed for the past four to five days. Taking note of the same, Mr. Ramesh directed the officials to deduct the cost of the missing food from the agency’s bills and impose a penalty for repeatedly violating the menu.
