In early February 2024, Jason Sudeikis convened the writers of Ted Lasso in Ojai, California. At his urging, the show had aired its third and purportedly final season a year or so earlier, but now he was having second thoughts. “I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know if it’s done,’ ” says the creator and star. So, he gathered everyone at the Ojai Valley Inn to see whether there was more story to mine.
