Jarden investigates departing executives’ personal relationship amid Barrenjoey defections
Investment firm Jarden is investigating two former executives for failing to disclose a personal relationship prior to their departure to competitor Barrenjoey Capital Partners. The move comes as Barrenjoey expands its presence in the New Zealand market, recruiting several staff members from Jarden.

Jarden is looking into the disclosure requirements of two former executives after their shock departure to competing investment firm Barrenjoey Capital Partners, which announced last week it was setting up shop in New Zealand.
The Australian Financial Review (AFR) said departing executives – then co-CEO Daniel Reynolds and co-head of investment banking Silvana Schenone – had failed to disclose a personal relationship while working at the firm.
In response to an inquiry from the Herald , Jarden said: “The matter is being looked into and assessed as a matter of urgency against Jarden’s policies on conflicts of interest, employee compliance and disclosure under the Jarden Group Ltd constitution and board charter.”
