Jana Nayagan Movie Release and Review Live: Vijay fans turn theatres into dance floors
Tamil superstar Vijay's latest film, 'Jana Nayagan', has released in theaters amid massive fan anticipation and record-breaking booking expectations. The film's release follows Vijay's recent transition into politics as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Why it matters
The film represents a significant cultural moment, bridging the gap between mainstream Indian cinema and the political career of a major public figure.
Vijay's Jana Nayagan releases in cinemas today (July 23), marking the Tamil superstar's much-awaited swansong on the big screen. The film arrives just months after Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu following the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's victory in the state Assembly elections. Directed by H Vinoth, the action thriller hits theatres after a prolonged certification battle with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
