The Oscar-winning actor teared up on the Aug. 25 episode of the " Baby, this is Keke Palmer " podcast while recalling how his daughter, Corinne Foxx , 32, stepped up to handle the medical emergency he experienced in 2023 following a brain bleed that caused a stroke , which led to him becoming comatose.

The "Ray" star told Palmer that he visited the Atlanta hospital where he was treated to speak with his medical team and learn what happened during the 20 days that he was unconscious.

"Man, your daughter saved your life," Jamie Foxx recalled his doctor telling him. "He talked about Corinne. 'She saved you.' He said, 'She’s the reason that you’re here.'"
