James Balagizi announces exit from Liverpool on social media

Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Mo Salah all left Anfield on high-profile free transfers over the summer, and another player whose contract expired since the end of last season is James Balagizi.
The midfielder progressed through the various age grades in LFC’s academy but never made an official first-team appearance, with the closest he came being two matches as an unused substitute in the 2021/22 season ( Transfermarkt ).
Now 22, Balagizi took to Instagram on Monday to announce that his time with Liverpool has come to an end, confirming the personal news with a poignant message of gratitude.
