Jakirovic wins Barclays Manager of the Month award
Bosnian head coach becomes just the third Hull manager to win the prize after overseeing perfect August
Sergej Jakirovic has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award after leading promoted Hull City to two wins from two in August.
The 49-year-old is the first Tigers manager to win the award since Mike Phelan in August 2016 and only the third ever, after Phil Brown in September 2008.
He is also the first Bosnian to take the award, meaning bosses from 21 different countries have now been named Barclays Manager of the Month in the Premier League.
