Authorities in Jakarta have begun repairing and cleaning damaged public facilities following an overnight protest that descended into clashes and vandalism in several areas of Central Jakarta.
In Pejompongan, Tanah Abang, broken glass at a police post and damaged traffic-monitoring CCTV cameras were among the facilities affected by the unrest on Thursday night.
A police post on Pejompongan Raya was found with shattered windows and signs of vandalism on Friday morning. A traffic CCTV camera mounted on a metal pole was also damaged.
