The House of Representatives (DPR) has set Dec. 15, 2026, as the latest deadline for passing the long-delayed Asset-Forfeiture Bill, meeting a key demand of protesters gathered outside the parliament complex on Thursday.
The deadline was approved during a plenary session on Aug. 27 after DPR Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad proposed Dec. 15 as the final date for completing the legislation.
The Pati United Community Alliance (AMPB), one of the groups participating in the rally, has made passage of the bill one of its main demands.
