JAKARTA: Indonesia's Soekarno-Hatta international airport has extended its suspension of flight operations until 9.30pm (10.30pm, Singapore time) on Sunday (Sep 6) due to volcanic ash from the ongoing eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.
Mount Anak Krakatau erupted on Saturday, producing a fountain of lava and booming sounds that could be heard up to a few hundred kilometres away, the geology agency said in a statement.
Two new eruptions were recorded on Sunday.
