The Andhra Pradesh State Power Employees Joint Action Committee (APSPEJAC) has demanded that the State government immediately initiate the pay revision process for the 2026 cycle, which was supposed to come into effect from April 1, 2026.

The JAC has also sought the immediate constitution of a unified in-house pay revision negotiating committee comprising the representatives of APTRANSCO, APGENCO and the three DISCOMs.

In a statement on Wednesday, JAC chairman Ganapati V.S.R.K. and convenor M.V. Raghava Reddy said the 2022 pay revision period, as per the wage agreement dated August 16, 2023, was from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2026. The next pay revision was supposed to come into effect from April 1, 2026 as per the agreement, they said.

Despite repeated representations, the government had neither constituted a committee nor initiated negotiations, causing uncertainty among employees, pensioners and family pensioners, the JAC said.
