SRINAGAR: J&K police on Monday claimed to have busted a plot by a 51-year-old govt employee to get his former lover’s newlywed husband arrested in a narcotics case. The accused allegedly couriered illegal drugs to the husband in an attempt to resume his affair with the 27-year-old woman.Police have arrested the accused, Tariq Ahmad Sofi, employed with wildlife department in Ganderbal.The case came to light after police in Ganderbal district received information about a suspected drug consignment being sent through a courier service.
