The Jammu and Kashmir Police counter-intelligence wing raided five districts in the valley on Saturday (August 8, 2026) to crack down on suspected terror-related activities, online misuse and alleged radicalisation networks, officials said.

Officials said the raids in Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian and Bandipora were carried out in connection with FIR number 03/2023 registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar, under Sections 505 and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
