It’s no laughing matter: DJ Tira guns for comedian!
South African music producer DJ Tira has issued a legal demand to comedian Flymotion for alleged defamatory statements made during a podcast. The dispute centers on claims that DJ Tira abused artists under his record label, Afrotainment.

DJ Tira, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, has served a letter of demand through his lawyers, N Nhlapo Attorneys, to Flymotion, a former Gagasi FM presenter.
According to the letter of demand, Flymotion, whose real name is Sandile Makhaya, made defamatory and misleading statements about DJ Tira and Afrotainment during a podcast interview published on Nawe Upopile Studios on 17 July 2026.
The letter says Flymotion’s statements were false, misleading, and defamatory, causing serious harm to DJ Tira’s personal and professional reputation.
