IT Minister reviews monsoon preparedness in Adyar Zone

Minister R. Kumar inspected monsoon preparedness efforts in Chennai's Adyar Zone, focusing on stormwater drain construction and infrastructure maintenance. He also addressed resident grievances regarding sewage and land records during his site visits.

Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services R. Kumar visited areas in Wards 179 and 180 in Adyar Zone including Besant Nagar, Thideer Nagar and parts of Thiruvanmiyur, on Wednesday as part of review of monsoon preparedness.
He met residents and traders to hear their grievances and asked the officials concerned to take action on the issues raised. He also inspected ongoing stormwater drain works on Radhakrishnan Salai, Kalakshetra Road and Malaviya Avenue, and asked officials to complete the works before monsoon.
At the pumping station on Thiruvalluvar Salai, he asked officials to undertake the necessary precautionary measures. He also visited an Amma Unavagam in Cholapuram and a fair-price shop in Marudheeswarar Nagar.
