--> Israel’s Ministry of Health warned about the danger of the unapproved weight-loss supplement G-Slim after a young person was hospitalized. As The Jerusalem Post reports , laboratory tests detected sibutramine in the product — a medicinal substance banned in Israel and a number of other countries.

The ministry stated that no product containing sibutramine is registered in Israel. The substance was withdrawn from the markets of most countries after it was linked to an increased risk of heart attack and ischemic stroke.
