Israel to close all land crossings with West Bank on election day
Israel has announced the closure of all land crossings with the West Bank on election day following a recent surge in violence, including the killing of two Israeli soldiers. The move coincides with a broader military operation in Hebron and ongoing political campaigning ahead of the upcoming national vote.
Why it matters
The closure underscores the volatile security situation in the region and the intersection of national security policy with domestic electoral politics.
