Israel’s final election results show neither Netanyahu nor rival can immediately form government
✦AI Summary

Israel's recent election results show that neither Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing bloc nor his rival Gadi Eisenkot's coalition secured the 61 seats required to form a government. Arab parties achieved historic gains, though both major blocs have ruled out forming a coalition with them, leaving the country's political future uncertain.

Why it matters

The political deadlock highlights deep divisions in Israeli society and the growing influence of Arab minority parties as potential kingmakers in a fractured parliament.
