The 36th annual international conference of the Indian Society for Dental Research (ISDR), focussing on translating scientific discoveries into improved patient care, began at Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital, an institution of Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, in Chennai on Friday.
Inaugurating the conference, Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar called for making quality dental care accessible and affordable, particularly in rural areas, through outreach programmes and rural healthcare mechanisms.
The conference, themed- Translational Dental Research - Bridging Science and Care- will feature lectures, symposiums, paper presentations and awards.
