Apple released iOS 27 on Monday, Sept. 14 , and the update brings Siri AI and a few other upgrades to your device. After you download the update, it might seem like your iPhone’s battery is draining faster than usual, but don’t worry. Apple wrote online that this is normal and — most important — temporary.

Apple released a statement in July 2026 , saying if your iPhone battery drains quickly after downloading an update, it’s nothing to worry about.
