Iran's IRGC suggests war could expand if US, Israel launch fresh attacks

Satellite imagery analysis reveals that Iranian strikes have caused significant damage to U.S. military bases across the Middle East, including destroyed hangars and radar systems. The IRGC has warned that the conflict could escalate further if the U.S. or Israel launch new attacks.
Why it matters
The documented damage to U.S. military infrastructure indicates a significant escalation in regional conflict and poses risks to global security.
This satellite image taken over Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates on March 11, 2026, shows three significantly damaged hangars, struck by Iran only days prior, according to The Associated Press. (Airbus DS 2026 via AP) Strikes launched by Iran against more than two dozen U.S. bases in the Middle East have resulted in billions of dollars of equipment damage, according to The Associated Press.
The news agency cited its analysis on satellite imagery from multiple providers and said it spoke to four regional officials who were briefed or have firsthand knowledge of what was hit.
The AP reported that through August, more than 115 drone or missile strikes claimed by Iran or Iranian-backed militias damaged or destroyed structures on 26 military bases and other sites with American equipment. Many of the attacks focused on aircraft hangars and systems that detect incoming strikes, the AP added.
