An Israeli court sentenced a Jewish settler to 13 years in prison for killing a Palestinian woman in the West Bank in 2018.
The Lod District Court ruled that the settler, who was a minor at the time of the crime and whose identity is protected by a gag order, threw a rock through the windshield of a moving car near the Israeli settlement of Rehelim in the northern West Bank, killing Aisha Rabi, a 47-year-old mother of eight from the town of Biddya.
The maximum penalty for the main offense with which the settler was charged is 20 years in prison.
The scope of Britain's measures against Israeli settlements in the West Bank will be influenced by the policies of Israel's next government, a senior British source told reporters on Wednesday.
