The Board of Peace's high representative for Gaza, Nickolay Mladenov, said Sunday he was working to de-escalate tensions in Gaza after two days of intensive Israeli strikes, which killed dozens of Palestinians.
In a statement on X, Mladenov suggested Israel had violated its commitment under the BoP's 15-point plan and the October cease-fire, which led to the release of all Israeli hostages.
"My team and I are working around the clock with the parties, the mediators and regional partners to de-escalate and create the space for the full implementation of the President's plan," he said, referring to U.S. President Donald Trump. "Achieving a lasting peace is hard but achievable if everyone make their best efforts."
